This unique project shows that even 17m² can hold everything needed for daily living. Natural materials such as different types of wood, sheep’s wool, and linoleum, together with large window areas and an ideal location, make this space truly convincing. And then there’s the scent of fresh wood inside…

This small house demonstrates how much quality of life can emerge in a minimal footprint. On just 17 m², it brings together everything needed for everyday living—reduced to the essentials, yet with a surprising sense of spaciousness. Natural materials define its character: untreated spruce and larch for the structure and interior, sheep’s wool as a breathable insulation, and linoleum made from renewable resources for the floor. Large window surfaces open the space to the surrounding landscape, making it part of its environment—light, air, and the scent of wood create an immediate, intimate experience of nature.

The unit is divided into three areas: a combined living and kitchen space, a compact bathroom, and a separate sleeping room. Built entirely in timber construction and mounted on a road-legal chassis, it can be relocated at any time.
During the summer, a family of three lives here — simplified, close to nature, and focused on what truly matters. It shows how little it takes to feel abundant, calm, and held.
